Thomas H. Yorke, CFP®

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Tom is an expert in financing, fixed income, and portfolio diversification, and has committed his career to helping clients grow and protect their wealth. He began in bulk commodities transportation, supervising a small fleet of international cargo vessels, before moving to Wall Street in 1986 to join EF Hutton's Fixed Income marketing department, where he worked with account executives and their clients to solve a wide range of financial problems.

At Lehman Brothers, Tom served as vice president in the central funding unit, trading a mortgage financing and interest rate swaps book totaling more than $25 billion notional. At Refco Securities, he was Co-Head and key architect of a highly successful niche business handling the trading, sales, and financing of multiple asset classes. Over his professional career he has worked across equities, fixed income, currencies, OTC options, commodities, and structured products.

At Oceanic Capital Management, an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm in Red Bank, Tom offers clients the benefits of that rich and varied experience, providing conscientious solutions for investors looking to reduce investment risk. Tom, his wife, and their three grown daughters are lifelong Monmouth County residents and now live in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. He served as past Chairman of numerous charity golf tournaments for Clean Ocean Action and Family and Children's Services, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for both causes, and spent nine years coaching in the Rumson-Fair Haven girls' lacrosse program. He is a member of the Rumson Country Club, the Sea Bright Beach Club, and a lifelong congregant of Saint Georges by the River.
